About The Position

Provides personal, equipment, and real property security for faculty, staff, students, and visitors within an assigned area of the University campus. Provides escort services and other basic public assistance as needed, and performs routine security and public safety patrol duties within the assigned area. Remains alert to emergency situations and provides first-line response, emergency management, and/or referral when required. This is a regular, full-time, benefits-eligible staff position with the University of New Mexico Police Department in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The position is non-exempt and pays $18.60 per hour. Regular, non-temporary employees in this classification are represented by a labor union and are subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license.
Pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
Employees providing services or working in patient care or clinical areas must comply with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
