About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Check In in Whitsett, North Carolina. The position provides a dependable assigned-site schedule with the option to claim additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift is a fixed commitment for six months; additional shifts may be available at other sites. Employees may work up to 40 hours per week by taking extra shifts, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $16.89 per hour. The listed shift is Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures and site policies at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. Duties include responding to incidents and access concerns, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access and visitors, keeping records, and communicating with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and verify credentials as directed.
• Maintain accurate records of patrols, incidents, and unusual observations.
• Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership about incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters.
