About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a residential apartment community in Long Beach, California, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support residents and visitors with professional customer service, respond to alarms and access-control needs, and document activity using computer or tablet systems. The schedule is Thursday and Friday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Access control and badge experience.

Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Monitor residential community access points and maintain a visible presence.
Respond to alarms and access-control needs.
Document activity using computer or tablet systems.
