Security Officer Residential Patrol

About The Position

As a Security Officer supporting a residential community in Los Angeles, California, you will help safeguard residents, visitors, and property. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. This is a full-time position paying $19.00 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM; Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00 PM–4:00 AM; and Sunday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, resident concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and building entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Document incidents, observations, and completed patrols, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
