About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an unarmed patrol deterrence role at a financial institution in Chicago, Illinois. The position provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $22.60 per hour. The posted schedule is Tuesday, 8:45 AM–5:15 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery access according to location policies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observed security-related conditions to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
