About The Position

As a full-time unarmed security officer conducting bicycle patrols in Burbank, California, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for visitors, businesses, and community members in a dynamic downtown area. You will conduct visible patrols, respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and provide customer service while following site-specific policies and procedures.

The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position pays $24.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing requirements may apply. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be able to ride a bicycle.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to ride a bicycle for long periods of time.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Possess a Guard Card or license.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, businesses, and community members while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout public areas, business corridors, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and potential security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies, following established response procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or client representatives.
