About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for unarmed bicycle patrol in Portland, Oregon. The role provides a reliable weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform. Additional shifts can allow an employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The position pays $22.70 per hour and has a listed Wednesday shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds calmly to incidents and critical situations, and conducts regular and random bicycle patrols around the business and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Access control or badge experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
