About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed bicycle patrol Security Officer in University City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will serve and safeguard clients in commercial and higher education environments at a government location. Using a bicycle, the officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, supports a secure environment, engages professionally with visitors and staff, responds to security concerns, and provides customer service. The position pays $17.25 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only; the posting does not identify this as a driving position.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and community members by following site-specific security procedures, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed bicycle patrols of public areas, facilities, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, and notable observations and complete required reports in accordance with company and site procedures.
