About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed bicycle patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this higher education setting, the officer monitors and patrols campus areas by bicycle, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role includes routine rounds, responding to concerns, and providing customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. The position is scheduled from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $17.75 per hour. Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience, be able to ride a bike, be at least 18 years old for unarmed work, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations. Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
Must be able to ride a bike.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate campus contacts or emergency responders according to site procedures.
Monitor access points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns through required communication channels and documentation systems.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment.
