About The Position

The Bicycle Patrol Security Officer helps protect a client’s property and maintain a safe and secure environment in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The officer patrols assigned areas by bicycle, monitors premises for hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations, and responds to incidents and emergencies according to post orders. The position also involves preparing reports and providing directions, assistance, and customer service to employees, visitors, and the public. The schedule is a rotating daytime schedule, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. Securitas states that no prior experience is necessary and that training is provided. Requirements

Meet local licensing and security officer requirements, if applicable.
Be able to ride and patrol on a bicycle for extended periods.
Have good communication and customer service skills.
Be able to stand, walk, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Be reliable and punctual for all scheduled shifts.

Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background is considered a good fit; no experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular bicycle patrols of assigned areas.
Monitor for safety hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations.

Complete clear and accurate incident and daily activity reports.
Provide directions and assistance to visitors and employees.
Actively monitor client premises, preserve order, and enforce applicable site regulations and directives.
Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
