Security Officer Licensed Driver Bicycle Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer Licensed Driver Bicycle Patrol in Birmingham, Alabama, you will serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support tenants, visitors, and property operations through customer service and communication. A valid driver’s license is required. This is a full-time position scheduled Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property stakeholders while following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions.
- Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
- Document incidents, maintenance concerns, and security-related observations in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain a professional presence that supports an orderly environment for tenants, visitors, and employees.
