About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology-focused location in Bessemer, Alabama. The officer will safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, monitoring access activity, responding to security concerns, and providing professional customer service. The role includes scheduled daytime shifts Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a pay rate of $17.46 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A guard card or license.
X-ray screening experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or access-control concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established emergency response procedures.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
