About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Reno, Nevada. The officer will help safeguard the site by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing professional customer service to employees and visitors. The position pays $24.00 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
