About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring an Armed Tactical Security Officer to patrol a hospital environment in Reading, Pennsylvania. The officer will monitor sensitive areas, manage access to secure areas, respond to alarms and incidents, and help protect people and property. The role requires active Act 235 certification, physical ability to move around throughout the shift, and a personally owned 9mm duty handgun. The schedule is evenings and overnights, with weekends required. The hourly wage is $25.00. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have an active ACT 235 Lethal Weapons Training Certification.
• Have or be able to attain all necessary immunizations.
• Provide a personally owned 9mm caliber duty handgun.
• Complete certification to carry an approved less-lethal alternative (OCAT-Path Certification – OC Spray).
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Be physically able to move around and patrol throughout the shift.
• Successfully complete a background check and drug screening after an offer of employment.

Nice To Haves

• First aid/CPR certification.
• IAHSS Basic Course.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• Respond quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
