About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Armed Act 235 Patrol in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will safeguard a commercial real estate location by conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to concerns and incidents, and providing customer service. The role requires a concealed carry weapons permit, an armed guard card or license, and Pennsylvania Act 235 qualification. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at $30.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a Pennsylvania Act 235 qualification.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor, vendor, and delivery procedures.
Respond calmly and helpfully to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; contact appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and site-specific post orders.
Prepare accurate incident and activity reports.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
