About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol duties at a healthcare location in Overland Park, Kansas. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and communication to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. The role supports a caring hospital environment through professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while responding to routine needs and assisting people at the facility.

The position pays $21.02 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Work takes place in a hospital environment that may include a morgue.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facility grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to facility policies, providing directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence.
• Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions in accordance with reporting requirements.
