About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to patrol a hospital in Brunswick, Ohio. The officer will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and delivering professional customer service. The role calls for teamwork, integrity, reliable communication, and professional responses to security-related needs. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday through Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Applicants must meet hospital vaccination requirements and be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. Employment is subject to applicable background investigation and drug screening requirements.

Requirements

Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and help maintain a welcoming environment.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, facility personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
