About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail distribution location in Hagerstown, Maryland. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. The officer responds professionally to security concerns and helps support a welcoming environment. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, loading areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and observe personnel, vendors, and vehicles; verify credentials and direct visitors as needed.
Document daily activities, incidents, irregularities, and patrol findings in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
