About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for access control at a logistics and distribution location in Redlands, California. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned site and weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and the option to scale back.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor entry, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound traffic, maintain accurate access logs, and report unusual activity or access concerns to help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow site procedures, and communicate with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
