About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for access control at an assigned technology, media, and telecommunications site in Cleveland, Ohio. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary week to week, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The stated schedule is Saturday, 4:30 PM–12:00 AM. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities. Duties include responding to incidents and alarms, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access and restricted areas, and preparing reports. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules; a driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activity as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior galleries, public areas, offices, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas; direct guests and verify authorized entry according to site policies.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related events, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
