About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Greenfield, California. The position provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to pick up additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The role offers flexibility to vary hours and the opportunity to build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $18.23 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The Security Officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures, monitoring access and visitor activity, conducting unarmed patrols, maintaining logs, and responding to incidents and alarms. The position also supports the security of food and beverage operations by reporting property, access, equipment, and other security concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of vineyard, production, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services when required.
• Help protect food and beverage operations by reporting damaged property, unsecured doors or gates, equipment concerns, and other security-related issues.
