About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol a retail and mall location in Tustin, California. The position involves vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and assisting shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff. The officer will support a welcoming environment through professional customer service and clear communication while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.

The role is scheduled overnight, Wednesday through Sunday, from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, and pays $21.50 per hour. Duties include monitoring access points, reporting suspicious conditions and concerns, responding professionally to incidents and emergencies, and accurately documenting patrols and other activities.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license, required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and/or local law and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle and foot patrols of common areas, parking facilities, exterior perimeters, and tenant corridors.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events.
• Accurately document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and interactions in accordance with site requirements.
