About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to support a busy retail location in Santa Ana, California. The role serves and safeguards clients in a retail setting through vehicle and foot patrols, a visible security presence, customer service, and clear communication. The officer follows site-specific policies and post orders, observes activity, responds to incidents, and documents security-related work. This position is scheduled for overnight shifts from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Applicable licensing requirements may apply and may need to be met before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and associates by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random vehicle and foot patrols of sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity within the location.
Report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
