Security Officer - Full Time Patrol Guard
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol an educational campus in Hamilton, Ohio. The officer will help safeguard students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, professional communication, integrity, and helping create a welcoming campus environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.04 per hour, paid weekly. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, property damage, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
