About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a residential location in San Antonio, Texas. The officer serves as a visible, professional presence at the front desk, helping create a welcoming environment while safeguarding residents, guests, vendors, and visitors. The role includes customer service, access control, responding to security concerns, and following site-specific procedures. The position pays $17.00 per hour. The scheduled hours are 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Wednesday through Sunday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A guard card or license.
Customer service experience.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and supporting a professional front-desk experience.
Monitor access to the residential location, verify visitor and vendor credentials as directed, maintain entry records, and communicate arrivals to appropriate residents or onsite personnel.
Answer phones, manage inquiries, receive deliveries, and direct guests to appropriate areas in accordance with property policies.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Maintain awareness of front-desk activity, document security-related concerns, and report unusual conditions to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
