About The Position

As a Security Officer in a driving role at a healthcare location in Lansing, Michigan, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and patients. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and entry requirements in accordance with established site procedures.
Maintain accurate visitor logs, issue and collect access credentials as authorized, and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting observations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
