About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Tampa, Florida. The position provides a designated weekly shift as a dependable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, providing the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week and later scale back. The role focuses on security patrols, access monitoring, customer service, emergency response, and reporting at a distribution facility.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access by verifying authorized entry, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and following visitor and delivery procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs covering patrols, incidents, access-control activities, and observed conditions.
