About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The role provides a reliable assigned-site weekly shift, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shift. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim extra shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially increasing their hours up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position is designed for people seeking part-time employment, flexible scheduling, income stability, or a path toward full-time work. Pay is $20.55 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 10:30 AM–6:15 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity in accordance with site policies; report suspicious behavior, theft-related concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, contacting emergency services and site management as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while maintaining a professional presence.
