About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Niagara Falls, New York. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and can scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $30.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Monday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The Security Officer provides customer service while following site-specific procedures, security policies, and emergency response requirements. The role includes conducting armed patrols at a retail location, monitoring for security concerns, responding to incidents, and maintaining required reports and communications.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while following site-specific procedures, security policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following applicable post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, theft-related concerns, unauthorized access, and other security issues, helping deter incidents through a professional presence.
• Maintain incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
