About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an overnight driving position in Lima, Ohio. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the designated shift. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and work toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The position pays $20.50 per hour, with pay issued weekly.

The scheduled shift is Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The Security Officer provides customer service, carries out site security procedures, patrols facilities and surrounding areas, monitors access, responds to incidents and alarms, and completes reports. The role may offer a path to full-time work and advancement through paid training programs.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of industrial facilities, processing areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity or conditions requiring attention.
• Verify credentials, control entry and exit points, and maintain visitor and contractor logs according to site requirements.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate daily activity records, and communicate security concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
