Security Officer Part Time Overnight

About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at an automotive location in Robbinsville, New Jersey, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and assisting visitors, employees, and deliveries. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally, and report concerns promptly. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access credentials, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records according to site requirements.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating security concerns to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers while supporting orderly vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow.
