About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Florence, Kentucky. In this front desk role, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service and communication while supporting daily site operations. You will use computer or tablet systems to help maintain an orderly environment. The position pays $18.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on background screening and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific procedures and access protocols.
Monitor front desk activity, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and appointment details, and issue visitor credentials in accordance with site requirements.
Answer and route incoming calls, maintain visitor and delivery logs, and communicate professionally with site personnel, vendors, and transportation partners.
Monitor access points and security-related systems from the front desk, report unusual activity or facility concerns, and help deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow emergency response procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
