About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for morgue access patrol at a healthcare location in Los Angeles, California. The unarmed patrol officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supports access control, and provides professional customer service. The role may involve sensitive hospital areas and responding to situations involving individuals who require intervention. The schedule is Thursday and Sunday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $21.74 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a hospital morgue.
• Ability to restrain individuals.
• At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency-response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, follow established post orders, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and help direct patients and visitors to appropriate locations.
• Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with site-specific procedures.
