About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, you will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas and maintaining a visible security presence. You will help deter security-related incidents, support a welcoming environment, provide professional customer service, and respond to concerns with integrity and teamwork. The role is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and pays $17.91 per hour.

Requirements

• Be willing to receive vaccines required for a hospital setting.
• Be comfortable working in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Possession of a state-, county-, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital grounds, entrances, parking areas, corridors, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate locations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to site leadership or responding personnel.
