About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for patrol presence at an assigned public transit facility in Pearl City, Hawaii. The role provides consistent hours through a designated weekly shift, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and schedule. Officers may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, allowing them to supplement their hours and potentially build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The position involves providing customer service and carrying out security procedures, conducting unarmed patrols, responding to incidents, observing access points, and documenting security-related activity. The listed pay rate is $24.96 per hour. The scheduled shift is Monday, 1:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at public transit facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, parking areas, adjacent grounds, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicating with appropriate site contacts and public emergency services as directed.
• Observe access points and restricted areas, assist with visitor and contractor access procedures, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site policies.
