About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Access Control Security Officer in Collierville, Tennessee, serving a logistics and distribution location. The role involves managing entry points, verifying credentials and visitor and vehicle access, maintaining accurate activity records, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. The officer provides customer service and clear communication while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and pays $17.95 per hour. Applicants must meet age and education requirements and may be subject to background investigation and drug screening. State or local licensing may be required. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and maintain visitor and contractor access records according to site requirements.
Control access to truck gates, employee entrances, and restricted areas, helping deter unauthorized entry.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, and communicate observations promptly to appropriate site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
