About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail beverage sales location in Reading, Pennsylvania. The officer will safeguard clients and provide customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies. The role includes patrolling assigned areas, monitoring activity and access points, responding to incidents, and documenting and communicating observations. The stated pay rate is $19.96 per hour. The schedule is Thursday through Saturday, 2:15 PM–10:15 PM, and Sunday, 10:45 AM–7:15 PM. Candidates must meet the applicable age requirement, have at least six months of relevant security experience, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required.

Requirements

At least six months of relevant security-related experience.
At least 21 years of age, as stated in the role-specific age requirement.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Pass a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and staff while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the sales floor, stock areas, exterior entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
Respond professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
Monitor access points and customer activity to help deter theft, disturbances, and unauthorized entry.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
