About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol at a technology, media, and telecommunications production facility in Reno, Nevada. The role involves safeguarding employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while maintaining a welcoming environment. The officer conducts facility patrols, monitors access and visitor activity, responds to incidents and alarms, and prepares reports while coordinating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. The position pays $24.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and supporting emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
Maintain daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications.
Collaborate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts on security-related matters.
