About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Norfolk, Virginia. The role involves providing customer service and safeguarding employees, visitors, contractors, and other personnel. The officer conducts routine and random patrols, maintains a visible presence, monitors access to restricted areas, responds to incidents and alarms, and communicates professionally with site contacts and emergency responders. The position follows site-specific policies and emergency response procedures and requires accurate, confidential reporting. The schedule is Monday, Friday, and Sunday from 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM. Pay is $19.95 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and other personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, and report unusual conditions or potential concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as required.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive site information.
