About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Access Control Driver for a residential community in Spotsylvania, Virginia. The officer helps maintain a welcoming and secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, conducting routine patrols, and providing customer service and clear communication to residents and visitors. This is a driving position involving collaboration with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts to deter incidents and support residents and visitors. The listed pay rate is $20.34 per hour. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorization, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery access according to community procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters to appropriate contacts as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access records, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
