About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare setting in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting a welcoming environment, and responding to incidents and emergencies. The position pays $18.01 per hour and is scheduled for daytime shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and visitor activity to help maintain orderly movement throughout the facility and support a welcoming environment.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
