About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for college patrol monitoring in an educational setting in New York, NY. The officer will help safeguard the campus, deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through visible patrols, customer service, clear communication, and response to campus events. The role is scheduled Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Pay is $20.40–$21.40 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in accordance with established campus protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to assigned areas and verify credentials as required.
Report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate activity, incident, and daily reports.
Maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal supervision.
