About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol monitoring at a government location in Georgetown, Delaware. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations. The role also involves providing customer service to visitors and staff and supporting a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach. The posted schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pay rate is $17.43 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when assigned, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services as directed.
Document observations, incidents, and completed patrols, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
