About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for a warehouse fulfillment facility in San Marcos, Texas. The officer will monitor surveillance systems, identify and respond to potential threats, secure the facility’s inner and outer perimeters, control access, and help protect people and property. The role also includes roving patrols, visitor screening, and screening with an onsite X-ray machine. Customer service skills are required.

Multiple schedules are available: Sunday–Wednesday, 6 AM–2 PM, 2 PM–10 PM, or 10 PM–6 AM (32 hours per week, listed as full-time); or Thursday–Saturday during those same shift windows (24 hours per week, listed as part-time). The hourly wage is $19.11. Uniforms are provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, including a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
• Hold a state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular and roving patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Secure the facility’s inner and outer perimeter.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Screen with an onsite X-ray machine.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
