About The Position

As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and/or public agencies as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, access points, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns.
• Monitor entry and restricted areas, observe visitor and employee movement, and support access control practices in accordance with site rules and government-related requirements.
• Document incidents, patrol findings, and/or policy violations, and communicate professionally with travelers, staff, and public-facing personnel regarding security-related matters.
