As an Airport Security Officer - Dispatch in Kahului, HI, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
• 1+ years of security experience
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Ability to pass a physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Meet state and/or local licensing requirements prior to employment

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions, hazards, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and support site rules.
• Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and document routine activities, incidents, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Assist with crowd management, directional support, and public interactions during busy travel periods, special events, and/or operational disruptions.
