As a Security Officer Overnight Airport Screener, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, screen people and property, perform routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Perform screening activities at designated entry and exit points, which may include checking identification, verifying access permissions, and observing individuals and property for unusual or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor the movement of packages, freight, and/or personal belongings in accordance with site protocols, and report concerns, discrepancies, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
