Security Officer - Screener
About The Position
As a Security Officer Screener in Fairbanks, AK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government court location.
- Screen visitors, staff, and/or contractors entering the location by monitoring access points, checking identification and credentials, and following established entry procedures.
- Operate and monitor screening equipment, inspect bags and personal items as directed by post orders, and report prohibited items and/or unusual activity according to site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining aware that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
