This position is located on the Island of Kaua'i (STATE OF HAWAI'I). As an Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and its facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
• At least 1 year of security-related experience
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify access permissions when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Support Allied Universal and site personnel during weather events, evacuations, and/or other operational disruptions by directing foot traffic, sharing information, and following established response procedures.
