As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age (22+ years of age for armed roles).
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, checkpoints, and other designated areas, verify access permissions when required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support public-facing operations at the location by offering directions, answering questions, and assisting with orderly movement of people during routine operations and/or unusual events.
